Janett Köppen

Janett Köppen studied bioinformatics in Berlin and biochemistry in Halle. Both her master’s thesis and her PhD work involved the formation and effects of amyloidogenic proteins and the resulting disease patterns. In addition, by working as an associate student in the RTG2467, she was able to gain further knowledge regarding intrinsically disordered proteins. Based on these gathered insights, she developed antibody-based therapies for some of these amyloidoses.
