Alessio Di Ianni obtained his M.Sc. in chemistry and pharmaceutical technology at the University of Parma, Italy, with his Master thesis in medicinal chemistry developing antiangiogenic peptide ligands against VEGF-HBD. In his PhD, he is now working on the structural characterization of the human full-length, wild-type tumor suppressor p53, known as the “guardian of the genome”, in its apo- and DNA-bound states using structural mass spectrometry (XL-MS, native MS, HDX).
