Alan obtained his Master degree in chemistry at the University of Victoria, Canada. He studied organometallic complexes by mass spectrometry. In his PhD work, his interest is to study protein-protein interactions of the full-length wild type tumor suppressor p53 with its protein binding partners and to elucidate its conformational ensembles by cross-linking mass spectrometry.
