Grigorios Kafetzopoulos
Greg Kafetzopoulos started his academic career with a BSc degree in Biology from the National and Kapodestrian University of Athens. Subsequently he pursued a MSc in Utrecht University where he followed the program Molecular and Cellular life Sciences. During his first MSc internship he worked on molecular docking approaches for the prediction of Protein-Protein interactions. This research was conducted in Prof. Alexandre Bonvin’s group. On the second internship of his MSc, he joined Prof. Friedrich Förster’s group and utilized Cryo-Electron Tomography image processing approaches to characterize the structure of the mammalian Ribosome, in situ. Since September 2023, Greg started his PhD on the Characterization of metabolons with the utilization of Cryo-Electron Microscopy.
