Vladimir N. Uversky, B.S., M.S., Ph.D., D.Sc., Professorat the Department of Molecular Medicine, Morsani College of Medicine, University of South Florida. He received Ph.D. degree in Physics and Mathematics (field of study – Biophysics) at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in 1991 and Doctor of Sciences (D.Sc.) degree in Physics and Mathematics (field of study – Biophysics) at the Institute of Experimental and Theoretical Biophysics, Russian Academy of Sciences in 1998. Dr. Uversky has authored over 1250 scientific publications. According to the Thomson Reuters’ Web of Science, his work was cited more than 70,900 times, and he has an H-index of 128. Dr. Uversky has been included in the prestigious Clarivate list of Highly Cited Researchers™ every year from 2014 to 2020. In 2021, he was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. In 2024, he was elected as a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical & Biological Engineering (AIMBE). Over the years, he delivered more than 250 invited talks at various national and international conferences and invited seminars in various universities and research institutions around the globe. Dr. Uversky collaborated with more than 12,500 colleagues from more than 2,750 research organizations in 89 countries/territories. He is an editor of a number of scientific journals and edited several books and book series on protein structure, function, folding and misfolding. He supports our RTG as a Mercator Fellow in the RTG teaching program and will be highly involved in training our students in the fundamental principles of IDPs.
