Benedict Munz studied biochemistry in Frankfurt (BSc) and afterwards biochemistry and biophysics in Freiburg (MSc). In his master thesis, he examined the possibility of quantifying Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) in human blood using EPR spectroscopy. In his PhD thesis, Benedict is investigating the interaction of members of the oncofetal protein IGF2BP1 with RNA and putative inhibitors using NMR spectroscopy.
