Julian Bender studied biology, biochemistry, and biophysics at the University of Freiburg with a strong background in mass spectrometry. Julian is interested in the structural characterization of flexible synaptic proteins and their interactions with lipid membranes. In his PhD work, he combines multiple MS techniques, including proteomics, lipidomics, chemical cross-linking MS, native MS and ion-mobility MS. Since February 2022, he is employed as postdoc at the University of Würzburg.
