Peter Zorn obtained his M.Sc. degree in biochemistry at the Martin Luther University in Halle. He investigated the function of the RNA-binding protein IGF2BP2 in the context of diabetes mellitus in mice. In his PhD work, his main focus is the functional importance of the intrinsically disordered region in the essential splicing factor SRSF1 and its interactions with non-coding RNAs in a cancer-related context.
