Cedric Niebuhr

Cedric Niebuhr obtained his M.Sc in Biochemistry at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg where he focused on developing chemical linkers for site-specific protein modification and fluorescent labeling. His work centered on creating versatile tools for studying and engineering therapeutic proteins.
In his PhD project, he investigates the protein-tyrosine phosphatase Shp2, its activation mechanisms, and its interactions with the hub protein Gab1. He uses NMR spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography and native chemical ligation (NCL) to study these proteins.
