Lisa Schmidt studied biology at the TU Braunschweig. She is interested in IDPs and works on structurally solving the mitochondrial Krebs cycle enzymes via cryoelectron microscopy in her PhD. Her techniques involve size exclusion chromatography, negative stain and vitrification of enzymes as well as cryo-EM and the isolation of cell organelles.
